A
urine sample for women is usually sufficient. As part of general
screening for other diseases, swabs from the urethra, cervix or
vagina may be taken. There is also an option to have a home test
kit, which allow you to take your own sample and send it off to
the laboratory. You best advised to have tests and treatment if
your sexual partner has been found to have Chlamydia
or other sexually transmitted diseases.
Once
Chlamydia is confirmed,
you will be given an appropriate antibiotic. This will be tailored
to your needs, especially if there are signs and symptoms of early
or late complications of the infection.
The
costs are set and agreed between Insurance companies and One
Stop Clinics. A Self paying patient will
be advised of the likely costs, including consultation and investigations,
beforehand.
We accept cash, cheque or credit card payments.
